We, the undersigned at Run For The Hills, set about concepting London-based Ad Agency BMB’s new workspace in the depths of the winter just gone. quickly resolving to make it a floor like no other in this building called Crane. we wanted it to feel as if BMB-ers were coming home after a long trip away, greeted warmly by a comfy sofa and A giant cuppa. Original and quirkily stylish we wanted it to be, but more than anything welcoming.

In reception we decided to use a bold colour palette, with deep and rich teal paint on the walls, accented by a gorgeous Tropicana-style Palm wallpaper design from Cole and Son. Rich, suede-velvet caramel drapes were added behind the custom-designed reception desk, to screen the ‘Guest Room’ where Clients can choose to stay after a meeting and work in peace. The desk was crafted from a giant slice of Scottish Oak by our almost in-house Forrester, Kenny.

In keeping with our home from home concept we re-branded the Boardroom as The Dining Room, giving the space a glamorous but relaxed domestic vibe. Working with the lovely ‘H’ we designed a very long, very lovely 4m+ table with Farrow and Ball pop-yellow-legs. Encircling it with an eclectic mix of comfortable vintage and one-off dining chairs. Loading the drinks trolley, ready for a hard day’s creativity and a celebratory tipple after a successful pitch.

Botanical Bliss was our inspiration in The Garden. A creative safari break-out space lovingly styled with lush greenery, an awesome Christian Lacroix jungle Wall Mural, midnight blue Anthropologie chesterfield and a selection of vintage and new rattan furniture. Our graphics team created some custom glazing graphics, screening the roof-tops beyond, taking us out of London and out of Bermondsey. We love The Garden.

The kitchen is the nerve centre of any house. The beating heart of the home. For BMB we decided to make it a homage to the much loved parents of the founder. Jack and Ada’s kitchen needed to welcome BMB-ers and make them smile, pull up a stool, tuck into seconds and to have fun licking the bowl. We sourced a gorgeous Armoire and styled the kitchen island with vintage props, with a soft wrap-around Irish linen curtain (cleverly shielding acres of hidden storage underneath). Our graphics team infused the windows with BMB’s signature tone of voice via a series of illustrations and quirky kitchen table banter

Patterns and clashing styles became a theme for our wallpapers and decals. Part of decal you might then discover as a physical wallpaper elsewhere around the agency. These graphics were installed next to clashing wallpapers to keep them cool not twee.

We had a lot of glazing in the workspace which was the perfect canvas to add some BMB spirit and personality. It will also helps with privacy on meeting room windows and individual offices.
