As part of our design for Audible UK’s West London HQ, we were tasking with styling their meeting rooms in a creative and unexpected way. We took inspiration from our overall design theme of Storytelling to individually conceptualise a them for each of the rooms. Designing a range of bespoke artwork designs, which we then had printed onto rolls of wallpaper.

The main Boardroom was turned into the Science Fiction room. A bold choice for a boardroom! Our sci-fi mash up wallpaper design was crafted from a montage of retro science fiction images with graphic overlays. The design was created as 1 metre square repeat.

One of the smaller meeting rooms was transformed into a space celebrating globe-trotting and exploration. Our wallpaper design featured a vintage style map of the world, being traversed by a retro aeroplane, whose slipstream vapour trail was made up of Passport Entry and Exit Stamps.

Each of the wallpapers also had a customised piece of branding, in keeping with the particular theme and creative treatment of that meeting room.

One of the company’s most popular literary and non-fiction categories is Crime. So we turned another meeting room into a Sherlock Holmes-worthy space. Complete with spy glass and forensic props.

Our custom graphics really added a unique personality to each meeting room, a far cry from booking out ‘Meeting Room 2’ for your next team get together. The murals also added colour to the overall design scheme which was predominantly fresh and white with pops of black and grey.

The final meeting room was given a fun makeover. In homage to another of the audiobook company’s most popular genres. Our concept for this wallpaper was designed as a play onLaughing Gas. Taking the Periodic Table’s abbreviation for Helium designed amongst floating balloons.

When the Client opened up a new office in the Barbican recently, they re-engaged us to help with the interior design of their new space. And a number of our original wallpaper designs have remained so popular amongst staff that they were brought to life again and re-used within the new office.
