Audible HQ project almost complete

We’ve been busy working on our latest project, interior spacial design and graphics for Audible new HQ in Barbican. More commissioned art, wallpapers and decal graphics for each of the 14 meeting rooms, themed after mythical lands from the pages of storybooks.

Full case study for @doodncl is coming soon, but for now here’s some more behind the scenes with our graphics/art team in the studio.

A body of work that was hand painted, drawn in charcoal and pastels, and printed on fabrics and hanging rugs. Featuring camels, nomads and scenes from the Silk Road. Also the Farsi alphabet and the symbolic language featured on Persian rugs.

Have a tour around from the garden through the crittall doors into this stylish kitchen-dining space. Placing the kitchen in the landlocked no-window central space, leaving the light for the dining and lounging area.

Introducing our latest restaurant project, DOOD (‘smoke’ in Persian). Bringing the finest Persian and Levantine cuisine to the lucky people of Newcastle. Where every dish tells a story from the ancient Silk Road and the nomadic traders who traversed it.

It is situated in a Grade II listed building that once served as a map printing house for Newcastle’s maritime industry. Bringing this storied past to life was a fully immersive project for both sides of our studio - interiors and branding - and we can’t wait to open the doors on it very soon.

The OXBO interiors palette is grounded in fresh ne

The OXBO interiors palette is grounded in fresh neutrals, rich tans, sage greens and golden ochres, crisp artisan tiling and warmed with characterful timber furniture and tailored joinery with urban metallic accents. Cognac leather dining chairs and green painted ladder-back forms are teamed with tabletops in fresh terrazzo stones, zinc and live-edge rustic timbers. Tailored joinery is softened with antique mirror, refined black steel detailing and vintage, rustic props, warm ceramics and hanging greenery.

We designed a custom vintage-tile-effect wallpaper

We designed a custom vintage-tile-effect wallpaper behind the master bed in our Dalston project. The solid elm headboard was also designed by us in collaboration with a master craftsman in Scotland called Kenny. It took 4 men to lift into place and just needed some beautiful Bakelite switches as the finishing touch.
