New Persian restaurant design

29th November 2024/0/1

Let us proudly introduce our latest hospitality project, DOOD — a name that means “smoke” in Persian. This endeavour has been a true labour of love and an intense collaboration with our talented friends in the North. We love it when we do the brand and the interiors together, to make sure they’re as infused as much as possible. But it’s not often that we go into the level of detail we did for this project.

The rich brand narrative draws inspiration from the nomadic travellers of the ancient Silk Road, a theme woven throughout the interiors. This vision comes alive in custom-designed fabrics and hanging Persian rugs, and bespoke framed art created by our team of artist-designers. It extends into every touchpoint, from the suite of menus and gift cards to staff uniforms and even DOOD’s own Nomad’s Tale Pale Ale beer can designs.

Our interiors team poured their hearts into the project, adding layers of hidden details and thoughtful nods to the brand’s historic story and cuisine. Highlights include a Bedouin tent-inspired canopy above the bar, intricate twisted metalwork on the staircase, and pendant lights suspended from thick coiled ropes — all designed to immerse guests in the spirit of adventure and tradition.

DOOD is more than just a space — it’s a journey, a story, and an experience brought to life through collaboration, creativity, and care.
