Branding in the legal world often veers into corporate cliché – too muchblue, too much stock imagery of scales of justice, city skylines and courthousesteps. While this may aim to inspire confidence, it can feel cold andimpersonal, especially in the sensitive area of Family Law.

For Burgess Mee, we set out to create somethingmore considered, more genuine – and much warmer. We reimagined the brandidentity and website with a refined logotype and a calming, muted colourpalette, punctuated with a pop of optimistic orange. The aim: to build trustthrough authenticity, not stereotypes.

Photography played a key role. We introduced anatmospheric, nostalgic grade to the images and video across the site, and the subjectsteering well clear of tired legal tropes. Our new portrait photography for theBurgess Mee team also received the same warm, cinematic grade, giving thewebsite a consistent, human tone.

Burgess Mee are a respected and establishedlaw firm, but this new brand identity reveals their approachable side too –offering the reassurance of a safe pair of hands, but with empathy, warmth andpersonality.
