KEW STUDIOS

Kew Studios is a newly refurbished workspace set within a historic manor in leafy Kew, Richmond. Formerly the residence of the Kew Gardens’ original Directors — the Hooker family — and once visited by Charles Darwin, the building carries a rich legacy of botanical and scientific heritage.

Our task was to create a brand identity that acknowledged this history while presenting Kew Studios as a stylish, sustainable destination for modern working life.

We crafted a calm, confident brand world, beginning with a clean and elegant logotype that sits comfortably in a heritage setting but feels unmistakably contemporary. The visual language draws on the site’s verdant location and storied past, incorporating leafy textures and subtle natural references without ever feeling twee or traditional.

To reflect the workspace’s eco-forward ethos — including a living green roof, solar panels, EV charging and outdoor terraces — we chose a soft, natural palette and an understated tone of voice. Nothing shouty or overworked. Just quietly sophisticated.

The brand flexes across printed collateral, digital assets and signage, carrying through a consistent, design-led identity that feels fresh, unfussy and grounded in place.

Kew Studios is a unique blend of past and future — and the branding makes space for both.
