Morty & BOB's
Morty & Bob’s is a much-loved London eatery, known for its comforting food and laid-back energy — from its iconic grilled cheese to lively brunches and late-night cocktails. We refined the brand identity to prepare it for future expansion, while keeping the warmth and personality that make it so special.

Meet Morty & Bob
We created a suite of brand assets and a loose, hand-drawn illustration style inspired by the founder’s grandparents, Morty and Bob — the heart and namesake of the brand.
Morty was a proud Canadian and Navy man who loved a toddy of rum. A natural entrepreneur, he built a linen laundry, a greengrocery, and a bustling lunch spot in Montreal. He was never far from a golf course or bowling alley (he even kept his own size 13.5 shoes) and had a habit of checking the thread count of tablecloths and insisting on piping-hot soup. His quirks and attention to detail helped shape the playful, characterful spirit of the brand.
A playful brand identity
Bob was a wholesale greengrocer director at Old Spitalfields Market and, later in life, could often be found inspecting melons at the supermarket. At home, he loved a pint at his self-built bar, adored his wife Jean and their daughters, and never missed an opportunity to throw a party or make a speech. Bob’s energy, warmth, and love of hosting continue to inspire the welcoming spirit of Morty & Bob’s today.
ALso, we designed and launched a new website, bringing the refreshed identity to life in the digital space. The site weaves together the brand story, menus and booking experience into one cohesive and characterful home for Morty & Bob’s online presence.
We developed menus for all three locations, tailored to each setting and audience. Kings Cross and Kensal Rise were given an elevated, refined direction — especially at Kings Cross, where we designed drinks booklets to complement its evening service. Meanwhile, Westfield retained a fast-casual, playful energy, staying true to its grab-and-go spirit.
