Island Poké’s larger second venue, in Broadgate Circle next to Liverpool Street station is a more grown up version of their Kingly Street original. Ideally located to catch the busy lunch footfall of hungry city workers eager for some Hawaiian Sushi delights.

A beach vibe, but pared back to suit our mono­chro­mat­ic new branding. Black and white palm trees dec­o­rat­ing the windows, backlit with warm lighting to replicate early morning rays and mellow sundowns. Lush planting, reeding, wicker and criss-crossed benches and seating for kicking back and tucking in. Bringing over the signature fish scale tiles from Kingly Street but otherwise creating a brand new interior design concept for Island Poke’s newest outpost.

To catch the eye of wandering sushi fans and the after work drinking crowd, we designed a rotating light box winking its way from day through night.

Tasked with evolving Island Poké’s brand, we proposed a bold mono­chro­mat­ic theme, using vintage pho­tog­ra­phy to create an atmos­pher­ic backdrop, allowing their vibrant, fresh colour palette to really pop. In a sea of multi-coloured Pokes across the city, IP stands out from the crowd. Unexpectedly B&W. And all the more cool for it.

The menuboards were designed to hang above the main counter, suspended on hooks which could easily flip around between day and night services and specials. Fresh white by day. Dark and moody by night.

For the exterior we opted for a laid back look, with dining set ups and lower slung recliners and easy chairs for a spot of lounging and drinks during the evenings. Leather deck chairs, cane and wicker, sur­round­ed by dense planting for an extra sense of island life. With festoons to sparkle at night. 

We also designed a respon­sive WordPress website using the cool brand assets we developed.
