Ning Ma, Mamalan’s founder, approached us to help give her beloved brand a makeover. Her vision: No MSG, no grease — just delicious feel good Chinese. And she wanted the brand to reflect this.

Organic, healthy and envi­ron­men­tal­ly caring. With a happy and unpre­ten­tious tone of voice. Authentically Chinese — and recog­nis­ably so without resorting to stereo­types.

Central to our brand refresh was a friendly new logomark and a series of playful graphic patterns. A fresh colour palette of orange, charcoal grey and lots of clean white space.
