Branding in the legal world often veers into corporate cliché – too much blue, too much stock imagery of scales of justice, city skylines and courthouse steps. While this may aim to inspire confidence, it can feel cold and impersonal, especially in the sensitive area of Family Law.

For Burgess Mee, we set out to create something more considered, more genuine – and much warmer. We reimagined the brand identity and website with a refined logotype and a calming, muted colour palette, punctuated with a pop of optimistic orange. The aim: to build trust through authenticity, not stereotypes.

Photography played a key role. We introduced an atmospheric, nostalgic grade to the images and video across the site, and the subject steering well clear of tired legal tropes. Our new portrait photography for the Burgess Mee team also received the same warm, cinematic grade, giving the website a consistent, human tone.

Burgess Mee are a respected and established law firm, but this new brand identity reveals their approachable side too – offering the reassurance of a safe pair of hands, but with empathy, warmth and personality.
